ABOUT TOM
was born and raised here in Canberra and have been around sport my whole life. I started out playing AFL, debuting in first grade at 15 and going on to make various development squads and rep teams over the years. These days, I’ve switched codes and now play first-grade Rugby League locally. On top of that, I’ve represented the ACT in both Oztag and Touch Football for nearly 15 years.
While I love playing, coaching has become a big part of my journey too. For the past four years, I’ve been the Head Coach of the ACT U20 Women’s Oztag team. We had an incredible run last year, winning the National Championship in November, and I’m proud to say six of those girls went on to represent Australia in the Trans-Tasman and World Cup. Now, I’m stepping into a new challenge as Head Coach of the ACT U15 Boys, and I’m hoping we can create something just as special.
I’m currently studying a Bachelor of Sport and Exercise Science, finishing up at the end of 2025, with plans to go on and complete a Master’s in Strength and Conditioning. I also took some time away from uni to knock over my Cert III and IV in Fitness to gain practical gym floor experience and improve my skills in exercise programming.
At the end of the day, sport is what I’m passionate about – whether it’s helping elite athletes, weekend warriors, or everyday people chasing a goal. I love being part of the process and helping people succeed in whatever they’re aiming for.
