About the Event

RealFITT Youth weightlifting Programme is an inclusive programme for kids aged 11-16 years.

The program runs over 10 weeks, from March 1st to May 3rd. 

The program is designed to give the kids the skills and knowledge they need to promote physical activity and participation in sport. The program is focused around building the physical  qualities of strength, flexibility, mobility and power, whilst building the mental skills of a hard work ethic, delayed gratification, social inclusion and social participation. This program is focused around the sport of olympic weightlifting, but the physical skills the kids will develop are commonly used in strength and conditioning principles when training athletic development for other sports
