1. Tell us a little about yourself? 

When I’m not at work, I spend my time training as a 200/400m runner and have been involved in the sport of athletics for 14 years. I began my journey in U10 little athletics and continue to run competitively as an open age athlete - always on the hunt for a new PB! At the end of 2016 I completed a 6-year stint as a university student and now look forward developing my skills as a coach and applying the theory I have learned to my clients.


2. What attracted you to the fitness industry? 

Having a sporting background, I’ve always had a passion for health/fitness and an intrigue as to how the body works and responds to exercise. When I first started university I aspired to become a Physiotherapist but, as I progressed through my degree and went on to complete a Masters I discovered a love for Strength and Conditioning which as landed me where I am today.


3. What are your interests in the industry? 

While I'm yet to develop a specialty/coaching niche, I enjoy working with youth and people who have a sporting background. I also enjoy coaching people in a one on one setting to develop sound movement patterns and technical skills that serve as a solid base upon which to build future complexity. As a long-term goal, I hope to work within sporting teams to develop both prehabilitation and rehabilitation programs that help either to prevent or rebuild from injury.


4. How can you help people achieve their goals? 

First and foremost, by bringing an understanding of what it means to set a goal and then implement the commitment and dedication it takes to make that goal a reality! I like to lead by example and endeavour to help motivate people by sharing in their journey and making them see that anything is possible if they put their mind to it. “dream, believe, achieve”!

  • Master of Exercise Science in Strength and Conditioning

  • ASCA Level 1 Strength and Conditioning Coach
